Fun Halloween Games for a More Enjoyable Halloween Party

People in the different parts of the world love to celebrate Halloween. Halloween parties are celebrated everywhere on the night of October 31st. These Halloween parties can be a great way for relatives and friends to gather together, enjoy the scary night and commemorate the death of their beloved ones.

When hosting a Halloween party, we prepare Halloween decorations to make our place look creepy and scary for our family and friends. Aside from Halloween decorations, we should also prepare Halloween games that our visitors especially the kids will surely love. Here are some Halloween games that you can initiate during Halloween parties to make your party fun and memorable.

1.) Halloween Pumpkin Hunt
Create small and big pumpkins with corresponding points then place them in different areas in your garden. The participant that gets the most number of points will get the major prize while those who also found pumpkins will get candies or toys depending on how many they've gathered.

2.) Ghost Storytelling
You will all gather in a bonfire outside the house and you will ask for volunteers who will share scary stories based on their real-life experience or just plain imagination. The participant who gets the loudest clap and cheer from the audience wins the game.

3.) Trip to Halloween
Chairs will be arranged in a circle and participants will dance to the tune of scary songs or Halloween-related tunes. When the music stops they should find a chair that they can sit on or else they will be out of the game. One chair will be removed after every music stop so one participant will surely be out of the game until only two contestants remain and will struggle to sit on the last chair left.

4.) Hit the Scary Pot
A big pot attached to a rope will be placed about 8 ft high. Participants will stand near the pot and will wait for the host to pull the rope and let the candies and other treats pour down from the pot. Money can also be attached to a candy and toys can also be included to make the children happier.

5.) Mummy Wrapping Contest
Allow your visitors to group themselves into 5. Provide them with lots of tissue paper and a mannequin or a cartoon-formed effigy. The group who can cover or wrap all parts of their mummy's body will win the contest. No part should remain uncovered.

Enjoy the Halloween night with family and friends through Halloween games. You can also use your imagination and start a unique Halloween game that children and adults will surely find entertaining.

Creative Group Halloween Costume Ideas

Costume parties are a great way to bring together a group of people to celebrate Halloween. If you have a party at home, are at a Halloween party or as a guest at a friend's house, there's a blow for the perfect costume halloween group. It takes a little time and planning for a positive outcome for a group of Halloween costume to get. Fortunately, there are usually at least one person in a group that has a talent for and enjoy, the coordinator. Lethim or her to assume the role of keeping everyone on task through the process. A get-together to choose which theme your group will go as prior to the costume party will be fun too as you kick around ideas and share some time with friends. If everyone cannot attend the costume selection session, keep them in the loop via text, phone or e-mail and rely on their input before the final decision for the group costume is made.

If you are a group of 80's children, you may want to go as the lovable blue Smurf characters. Smurfette will certainly be the coveted female costume for this group, and one of the guys can be the evil and dastardly Gargamel. Think of your friends who fit the many Smurf characters: Hefty, Jokey, Baby and Papa Smurf. White tights and a lot of blue body paint will be needed for this project. Weigh out the options as to who is willing to wear what and who may have a problem being painted blue. If either is the case for a member of your group, there are many other possibilities to choose from.

Classics which never go out of style are sure winners. The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, The Seven Dwarfs or Peanuts characters are all recognizable and need little explanation. Many popular television shows and movies can also be referenced in a group Halloween costume that people will be familiar with. Gilligan's Island, Star Wars, Super Heroes, The Office employees or The Simpsons may suit the taste and size of your group. Or perhaps historical characters, bands or Broadway plays may be more your group's style. Select a costume that represents something you all like or enjoy. The group may decide to go as pieces of fruit, barnyard animals or as a favorite board game.

The more original your group is with the selection, the better. If there is a costume judging contest at the event, you may want to focus on a specific category or aim for the best over all costume award of your event. Costumes can be homemade or purchased, and your group costume may require make up or masks. Whatever you choose, make certain to pay attention to detail, and make use of household items for props or old clothing for costume parts. If everyone allows his or her creativity to shine, we are sure your group can select the perfect group Halloween costume and have fun as you do so.
